A turbulent year is due to draw to a close in the next few weeks. The effects stemming from a volatile political situation, the extensive delays afflicting supply chains and the long-term consequences of the Coronavirus crisis have once again presented us with major challenges. Positive trends with regard to supply chains, energy costs and other factors, as well as the strategic decision to fundamentally realign our project management approach and thus position ourselves more resiliently for future challenges, make us confident that we will continue to perform as a reliable partner with a strong technological foothold at your side going forward.

The economy has developed differently from sector to sector, and from region to region. Depending on key influencing factors, this has led to unexpected opportunities or significant shifts in investment plans. In addition to realising many interesting and complex customer projects, we were also able to press ahead with the continuing development of our product and service portfolio, as well as process refinement efforts.

At BlechExpo in Stuttgart, we were able to present the following innovations, among others:

• The intelligent straightening device

The aim of the new, intelligent straightener is to immediately detect changes in the production process, and provide information on the cause, thereby allowing the rectification of the possible fault. A new application – available immediately – now enables us to offer the intelligent straightener as a retrofit solution for your existing DREISTERN system.

• The sensing drive shaft

Sensor-based drive shafts enable us to record the actual drive conditions in your roll forming processes, and to initiate efficient process optimisation measures based on the information gleaned in the process. We offer you this value-adding enhancement – available immediately – not only for new systems, but also on request as a service for analysing your current process or as a retrofit solution, including an intuitive operating application for your own service team’s toolbox.

• The DREISTERN solution process

For the first time, we presented our range of services with an interactive 3D model at Blechexpo. This presentation was accompanied by a specialist talk in which the new DREISTERN project process mentioned at the beginning was introduced.

In addition to Blechexpo, we were also represented at the Great Design in Steel Day in the USA, TimTos in Taipei, Taiwan and MWCS in Shanghai, China. We would also be delighted to welcome you to one of our trade fairs in 2024, such as TUBE in Düsseldorf, where we will be presenting an exciting innovation in the field of e-mobility.

Despite mixed economic news, we remain optimistic about the new year 2024 thanks to our strong order situation and the strategic decisions we have made to date.
